Hailing from the suburbs of St. Louis, my dissatisfaction with the built environment inspired me to pursue my master of architecture degree from Kansas State University. My first two years of college were spent at University of Missouri Kansas City, before continuing to Kansas State for the final three. I studied with BNIM at Kansas City Design Center, learning building construction systems from the masters. Immersed myself in a design culture rooted in place, material, process, and product at Spillman Farmer Architects. And finished my collegiate education in el dorado inc.'s design+make studio, learning the art of detailing through the act of making.
When not working in studio, I spend my time swimming, biking, and running (in that order). Using the occasional Backpacking trip as a chance to clear my mind and escape the bustle of everyday life.
